WARM ROOF
The Leka System has been engineered through innovative methods, highly technical design protocols and practical experience to create probably the best conservatory roof system in the world currently, fabricated to the highest standards in our dedicated Wokingham-based facility.
First, Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) rafters are added to your existing conservatory window frames, including a GRP structural ring beam, rafters and ridge. GRP is not prone to:
- wood worm
- warping
- rotting
- condensation
- cold spots
All GRP sections are factory-cut to size and pre-fitted with fixing brackets for easy installation.
Next, standard 12.5mm plaster boards are fixed to the underside of the GRP rafters. Plaster board can either be supplied as part of your kit, or can be sourced from your local builders merchants. The choice is yours!
Factory-cut insulated sheets are snugly fitted with a 15mm aeration gap from the internal plaster board. We offer different grades of insulation to suit each project, with each option fully compliant with the latest U-value requirements.
Next, strong, load-bearing and insulated outer boards are added. These ensure fewer roofing bars and higher efficiency.
Our factory-cut Leka outer boards have been engineered to offer:
- A structural alternative to plywood
- A significantly lighter alternative to any other roof covering board
- A 100% waterproof outer covering
- A thermally efficient board
Finally, a high quality Britmet (lightweight slate-effect tile) or Metrotile roof is added.
Both Britmet and Metrotile offer a classic roof finish dependant on your property and required cosmetic look.
These lightweight alternatives to concrete tiles or slate really do make the LEKA systems overall finish stand out as much as the main structures attributes do.

The LEKA Xi. Quicker, lower cost and more spacious; what’s not to love? The Leka Xi can provide a warm, sustainable alternative to a traditional block/brick built conservatory. Typically installed on concrete pads rather than strip foundations, the Leka Xi saves time, mess and stress when considering a new build conservatory or single storey extension.
The GRP cladding skins come in a range of colours and offer a sustainable replication of either real brick work, stone or timber. We can even supply external boarding, immediately ready for a plasterer to render directly to. Typically a conservatory, including the Leka Xi base/wall system, as well as a Leka roof, are installed in a fraction of the time needed to complete a traditional build. With no thermal bridging or moisture absorption due to our GRP lightweight, structurally sound framework, the Xi conforms to building regulation standards. Specialised Orangery roofs
The Leka Orangery roof is a cutting-edge system for homeowners. It is a truly lightweight Orangery roofing system, weighing up to 40% less than competitor products. Our orangery roofs are normally finished with a rubber (EPDM) roof membrane, which you can choose to include in your roof kit upon ordering. The orangery kit is designed for homeowners & complies with building regulation U-values. There are no aluminum or timber components in the build. Gone are the days of damp, warped timbers being delivered to site.
Built from four simple ladder kits made of GRP (glass reinforced plastic), roofs are delivered to site with brackets pre-fitted and all insulation factory-cut to size for rapid installation.
We’ll even supply a pre-formed roof lantern upstand at the size of your choosing.
